SyncPhoto Privacy

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application SyncPhoto (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by River Rock Logic (email: info@riverrocklogic.com). The application is a photo downloader that allows photos to be downloaded from a specific Smugmug.com account to the local mobile device. The photos are then available on the local device for later viewing without the need for an internet connection.

What Information does the Application obtain and how is it used

The Application does not collect any personal information. When you use the Application you must logon to Smugmug.com with your Smugmug logon credentials. The Application does not view or retain those Smugmug logon credentials. Instead, Smugmug returns an authorization token to access your account on Smugmug.com and that token is stored in local secure storage on the device by the Application. At this point SyncPhoto is added to your Authorized Applications on Smugmug.com. You can de-authorize SyncPhoto at any time in your Account Settings on Smugmug.com. The Application will request write access to the camera roll if you select the option to save a photo to the camera roll. The Application does not view or read any of the photos on the camera roll and in no way accesses the camera roll other than to copy a photo to the camera roll on the device.

Does the Application collect real time location information of the device?

No the application does not collect any real time location information.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the application?

In general, third parties do not have access to any personal information through this application. Since you must actually log on to Smugmug.com to use the Application, Smugmug will be aware that you have an instance of SyncPhoto authorized to use your account.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can uninstall the Application using the standard uninstall process on the iPhone or iPad. You can also logon to your Smugmug.com account and de-authorize the SyncPhoto application in your Account Settings on Smugmug. Uninstalling the Application on your device does not automatically de-authorize the Application in your Smugmug account.

Data Retention

Since no data is collected there is no data retention.
